❤️TAKUTAI MOANA NATASHA KEMP MP

Moe mai rā e te Rangatira, Takutai Moana Natasha Kemp.

(Ngā Rauru, Ngāti Tuwharetoa, Ngā iwi o Mōkai Pātea, Ngāti Tamakōpiri, Ngāti Whitikaupeka, Ngāi Te Ohuake, Ngāti Hauiti, Ngāti Hinemanu, Ngāti Paki)

The Public Health Association of New Zealand acknowledges with deep sadness the passing of Te Pāti Māori MP Takutai Moana Natasha Kemp.

Natasha was a passionate advocate for whānau, a tireless leader for Māori and Pacific communities, and a strong voice for health equity in Aotearoa. Her work in community development, youth empowerment, and Māori wellbeing left a lasting impact both inside and outside Parliament.

Her battle with kidney disease is a devastating reminder of the urgent need to address the unequal burden of chronic disease in this country. Her strength, dignity, and commitment in the face of illness remind us of the human cost of health inequities—and the importance of continuing the fight for a fair and just health system.

We offer our aroha and condolences to her whānau, colleagues, and the communities she served with such dedication.

Moe mai rā e te mareikura.

Te whānau o PHANZ
